Meowth was born alone to fend for himself.  He was always hungry, and craved love and ice cream.
He watched a movie in which a Meowth in Hollywood got the star treatment, so he decided
he would move to Hollywood!  He learned to steal, but only got caught.  He joined a gang
of Meowths and a Persian, and was fed and kept healthy.
Meowth is one of the only 4 Poke'mon that can speak.  The other 3 are Mewtwo, the Gastly at Maiden's Peak,
and Weezing (if you listen close enough).  Why can Meowth speak?  To impress a female Meowth of course!
He wanted to prove to her that he was a human.  Meowsy (her name) was a
rich bred Meowth who lived with a really rich lady.  She turned down Meowth because
she said, "You will never be human, just a street Meowth!"  So Meowth learned to Walk on two legs
and talk like a human.  He would sit outside speech class and try to recite rhymes.
When he finally got speech right, he got a picture book so he could understand what he was saying.
"Ro, ro, ro, ROCKET!"  If that wasn't the first word he understood, he might never have joined Team Rocket!
He went over and started to show off to Meowsy.
Meowsy turned him down though; she didn't think of him a a human, just a
walking talking freak Meowth!
And so Meowth joined Team Rocket.  Later, he sees his old gang again, with Meowsy in it!
He has a battle with the Persian, and wins.  Meowsy goes with the Persian, for he helped
her in her time of need.  She still thought of Meowth as just a walking, talking street Meowth.
